Canadian-British soprano, Katheryn Garden was born in Saskatchewan, Canada and discovered her love of music at an early age while participating in choir, voice, and piano studies. She read Music at the Vancouver Academy of Music, S.K. Lee College under the tutelage of David Meek, and graduated with a Bachelor of Music and Artist Diploma in Vocal Performance. In 2010, Katheryn moved to London, U.K. after winning a place to study at the Royal College of Music. She is in the final year of her Masters of Performance and training with renowned soprano, Eiddwen Harrhy.

Opera Canada Magazine has described Katheryn's interpretations as "vibrant," "artful," and "voiced with delicacy and dedication". She has enjoyed performing in several operatic productions across Canada with Vancouver Academy of Music, Opera Appassionata , Opera NUOVA and the International Vocal Arts Institute . Katheryn’s most recent roles include: Drusilla in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea, Miss Wordsworth in Britten's Albert Herring, and Adina in Donzetti’s L’elisir d’amore.

Katheryn has participated in master classes with such acclaimed artists as Håkan Hagegård, Ben Heppner, Nico Castel, and John Fanning. Katheryn’s recent London performances include a concert at the Institute of Contemporary Arts and Opera Scenes, and Recitals at the Royal College of Music. Katheryn has enjoyed appearances with the Regina Symphony Orchestra as soprano soloist in Dvorak’s Te Deum, Mozart’s Requiem, and in Vivaldi’s Gloria. She has performed several solo recitals in Vancouver with the Vancouver International Song Institute the Vancouver Women's Musical Society and the Vancouver Recital Society in their Young Master’s Project. She won several competitions in Canada including the Regina Music Festival, the Vancouver Women's Musical Society Competition and the Kay Meek Competition. Katheryn has received scholarships from the Vancouver Women's Musical Society, the Regina Freemasons, and the Vancouver Opera Guild. Katheryn was the recipient of the Vancouver Academy of Music's Eva Bene Scholarship, and as part of the award, she performed with the ASO for an audience of 2000 at Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver. Her upcoming projects include Ensemble in RCMOS’s production of Bizet’s Djamileh, and Opera Scenes and noon-hour Recitals at the Royal College of Music.
